Salt: Leadership Application (Spring 2026)

This application is for students who attend Salt Company in AMES!

THANK YOU: Thanks for applying! We really value your place inside of Salt Company and are so thankful you're wanting to explore the potential of leadership. The goal of this process is to determine your best "yes" for next year — either as a faithful and growing member of a Connection Group, or as a new leader of one. We hope that for every applicant, the process leads you to flourish in your walk with Jesus at Salt next year!

HEADS UP: Your answers to questions won't automatically save, so we recommend filling this application out in one sitting and/or saving your answers in a separate document as you go.

DUE: Applications are due by midnight on March 12, 2026.

INTERVIEW: Following this application, you'll have a 45m interview with two members of our staff team of your same gender. This interview is in-person and held at Iowa State's Memorial Union near the "Nook" and "Cranny" across from the food court. Interviews will take place between March 24 - April 9. Further details and instructions for how to sign up for your interview can be found at the bottom of this application.

LEADERSHIP

Salt Company leaders are asked to commit to the following things:
- Grow personally as a disciple of Jesus (physical, spiritual, mental, & emotional health)
- Weekly Connection Group (co-lead with a peer)
- Weekly Discipleship Group (~4-6 people, led by someone out of college)
- Salt Leader Kickoff Week (back in Ames August 17-23 for Salt Leader Kickoff Week - includes a 1 night Leader Retreat at Hidden Acres, along with MTC events to reach the campus), Fall Retreat (October 9-11), Salt Company Conference
- Leader Meetings (once a month)
- Attend Cornerstone on Sunday mornings and Salt on Thursday nights
- Stadium Clean-up after ISU home football games (September 5, September 19, September 26, October 3, October 31, November 14, November 28)
